I've lost 10 lbs! I understand most of that is waste (poop) but we'll go hush hush on that one.
Ok, no I won't. The average person will lose 2-3 lbs of poo the first week. Gross huh? But it's called detox. When you binge, eat tons of preservatives, live on fast food, or don't eat regularly throughout the day you body can store up to 15 lbs of the junketies if you're an adult. I'd like to post my source to this but I actually heard it from my kids G.I. doctor. It's important that you go #2 (el poopo) at least twice a day. You should be drinking enough water to go #1 (pee) 3-4 times a day. Durring a detox you will most likely double all of that. What's a detox? EHow has one here but I find the easiest detox is to drink tons of water (about a gallon a day) and increase your fruits (simple carbs) and veggies. Going meatless, cutting out potatoes and rice, limiting milk, and sticking to whole grains is usually suggested but me and meat are homies and we'll cut joo foo if you come between us. What do you do next? Find a good book. If you haven't gone #2 by noon, sit on the pot for 30 min and relax. Mirilax twice a day for the first week helps also. (Again I'm sorry I don't have a real source for this other than word of mouth. My kids have a G.I. problem that makes it hard for them to go and if we don't follow this at least once every 2 months they get backed up all the way into their stomachs.)
Wasn't this a great way to celebrate 10 lbs lost? ;p I'm not done yet.
So when I started I was 305. Three days after I weighed in I started my first blogcam and I was 300 lbs. It's been four days since that and I'm 295 so it's been a week. I'm pretty sure most of that was poo (no I was not measuring it), water weight (you'll pee oceans the first week), and lean muscle mass (your body eats fat and muscle but mostly muscle so no worries on that one.)
Losing 10 lbs is not normal throughout a diet. In fact it's not healthy. The first few weeks it's ok but after that you should only be looking to lose 1% of your total weight per week. How are they losing so much on Biggest Loser and it's still healthy? They're at the gym 4-5 hours a day. In all honesty they're packing on enough muscle in a day to burn enough calories for 2 people. More muscle= more calories burned in a day btw. But this also proves my point that tons of weight lost = tons of muscle lost because these people LOST weight when muscle weighs more than fat.
So my goal for this week is 2.95 lbs. Who thinks I can do it? I can be a somewhat shmexy 292.
I say you(we) can do anything you(we) set our minds to do. We are WOMAN!!!!!
